The Police Protested At A Beyonce Show

May 9, 2016

As fans flocked to Beyoncé’s sold-out concert in Texas on Saturday night, a police group held a protest nearby.

"Some of her performances we believe to be anti-police," Tony Ragsdale told the local media. Ragsdale is a member of the Pasadena Police Department and of the Coalition of Police and Sheriffs (C.O.P.S.).

Some are upset at the footage of Hurricane Katrina that Beyoncé used in her "Formation" video that showed a sinking New Orleans police cruiser.

Recently in Elle magazine, Beyonce was quick to point out, "I have so much admiration and respect for officers and the families of officers, anyone who perceives my message as anti-police is completely mistaken."
